Saints Start Out Rough Without Head Coach

The New Orleans Saints are having a rocky start of the season losing
both regular season games by 8 points. Drew Brees hasn’t been able to
get his team together enough to pull through with a win yet. The New
Orleans Saints have not had a 0-2 start since 2007 which ended with a
record of 7 wins and 9 loses. Some Saints fans may have expected some
trouble when the Saints were only able to pull 2 wins out of their 5
preseason games.

Brees
has also thrown two interceptions both games. Last year Brees through a
total of 14 interceptions over 16 games, leaving him already on the
road to beating his last year stats if this continues. And it doesn’t
get better for Brees stats as he has missed a total of 46 of his 101
passes in the regular season. It is clear the Saints prefer the passing
game over the rushing game as passing clears the 300 yards and rushing
yards dwindle, 32 Rushing against Washington and 162 against Carolina.

Sunday the Saints host the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Dome. The
Chiefs have a higher rushing game average than the Saints but the Chiefs
also tend to have a decent passing game as well. Both teams will walk
into the dome 0 and 2 but one of them will walk out 1 and 2. Can the
Saints get it together and get back in the game or will it be the Chiefs
who prove to be victorious for the first time against the Saints since
1997?

(3 games have been played in regular season between New Orleans
Saints and Kansas City Chiefs from 1997 – 2011)
